Mother Shipton
The wisdom of the forest is imprinted in my eyes
But my tough exterior will scare those who are unworthy to hear
All the secrets of the wind,
The intensity of the fire,
The purifying touch of water and
The nourishing embrace of the earth.
Just dare to look at me and I will reach your naked soul
I read your secrets and you’ll be vulnerable to my inner sight
Would you hear my words of mysterious true even if they are full
Of darkness and chaos?
Be brave to do so because once I choose you
My mouth will speak a cloud of puzzles only your heart should decipher
Because your future now is laying in my tongue
Awaiting to be told
My back is hunched because since birth
I carry the big responsibility of the spiritual realms
And the pain for knowing the future of the people that crosses my path
My beauty is not in a soft face or a beautiful hair, my beauty is in my wisdom
And in the pain I went through to be who I am today.
I am big in a small place and once you hear my name
You will know the beginning of the magical tale
Because I was one of the first to cross the line between space and time to know
What will happened tomorrow.
I am the prophetess of Yorkshire
And you will find me approaching you
Limping down the road
I am Mother Shipton
